IMPACT Day
My company does an 'IMPACT Day' once a year where they give us a day away from the office to go give a day of service to the community. Wade wanted to come, but I told him he was too young. His Mom put him in his Deloitte shirt to make him feel better about not going.
Memorial Day
This Memorial Day we decided to relax and take Wade to the pool. He is such a little stud in the swim gear his Grandma bought him.
He wasn't too sure about the cold water at first, but he warmed up to it pretty quick. We'll have to give him some more practice before our trip to Lake Powell in a few weeks.

"That girl is way to skinny for that baby to be hers"
"Maybe they aren't married and the baby is just his"
"But there are rings on both of their fingers"
"Maybe he got divorced and the baby is from another marriage, and these two just got engaged"
Go Nationals!
We took Wade to his first Nationals baseball game on Friday, which just so happened to be at their brand spankin new stadium. It was SO much nicer than the old one, but still just as hard to get to. The Nats actually pulled off a win against the Brewers, so it was a good game to go to. They also had fireworks after the game.
Happy Mother's Day
We celebrated my first "official" Mother's Day yesterday. I love being a mom so much! It is the best job I think I will ever have.
Being a mom now, I appreciate more than ever everything my mom did for me growing up (and still does for me). So thanks mom for everything!! I love you!
Closing in on 4 Months
Wade's 4 Month birthday is on Friday. He'll celebrate by going down to the doctor to receive another round of shots. Jen's really excited about having such fun with him again. We put him in his BYU shirt.
Though it's not as good as the video we put up last week, here's one of Wade describing why he thinks the Jazz lost game 1.
(Translated) "The Jazz weren't making any of their shots and were terrible from the free throw line. They did a great job rebounding though."

Wade's Blessing
Weekend Fun
We have had a busy weekend. My birthday was Thursday and we had a quiet night with just our little family. Phil came home from work early and made me a fabulous steak dinner. He even did the dishes and the ironing for me!
Friday, Steve and Kalina came in from Houston to visit. We spent most of the in-between conference hours taking them to see all the sights in DC. Here we are at the Iwo Jima Memorial, which is a lot bigger than we imagined.
Easter
Wade was pretty excited about his first Easter basket...I was excited for the chocolate. And Phil found all of the eggs the Easter Bunny hid!
Air and Space
Someone made fun of us for reviewing entertainment items on this blog, so I think we're going to give up and have every post just be about Wade. Unless there is some significant event worth mentioning, I suppose.
Wade made a trip up to the National Air and Space Museum because he wanted to see the 3-D movie about the Space Center they have there. Unfortunately, he was ready for a nap by the time the show got started. He had to settle for a picnic out in front of the Washington Monument. It's his favorite monument so far, that's what he told me.
He learned about all kinds of planes inside the museum, too. There were several planes/helicopters that made special records, like going around the whole world, which begs the question, "Why do you need to fly around the world without stopping or refueling?" I guess if there are records to make, people will make them. This one plane looked like it hardly had enough room for one person, but there were two, and they flew it all the way around the world. They were engaged before they took off, and after the 9 day nonstop flight, they decided to call it off.
And an obligatory shot to make you smile:

2 Months
Yesterday was Wade's 2 month mark. To celebrate he had to go to the doctor today to get three shots. He was a champ, only crying for a few seconds (before promptly falling asleep). He is now 12 lbs. 7 oz. (75th percentile) and 24.5 in. (95th percentile). He is growing so fast!
Isn't this so sad! He almost made me cry, I just hope he doesn't hate me now!
March Madness
Rolling Over
Wade learned how to roll over last week. We finally got it on video!
His other favorite things right now are playing with his tongue, watching the mobile in his crib and playing with his toys in his bouncer. We can't believe how FAST he is growing!
So Strong
So I know our blog is turning into an "all about the baby" blog, but it's the best way we have to keep our families in the loop. This video is for them so they can see how strong our little guy is getting.
